Along with red squirrels there are many peacocks and birds on the island, giving numerous opportunities for photography.
Level of experience
This workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced photographers as the day will be tailored to your individual needs. Elements will include settings, composition, fieldcraft and post processing if required.
Group size
Groups or individuals welcome, group sizes will be limited to 3 people to ensure everyone receives 1-2-1 support and tuition throughout the day

as the squirrels are very active
at this time of year

Time
Meet on Poole Quay at 9.30 am to catch the Brownsea Island Ferry
(ferry crossing and admission to island not included in workshop price)
How long is the workshop?
Approx 5 - 6 hours
Fitness level
There is a 5 minute walk from the ferry to the woods.
We will be on our feet most of the day.
What lens / focal length will I need?
Lenses with focal range from 70 - 500 mm plus recommended
For canon users I do have a 150 - 600mm lens available to loan for the day at no extra cost.
What will I need to bring
A monopod will be useful for low light, if you do not have one I can loan you one for the day, free of charge.
Snacks and water,
(there is a cafe on the island where you can purchase hot drinks and food)
Suitable clothing for the weather conditions
Sturdy walking boots
